For ten years, I lovingly owned my Welsh Springer Spaniel. Poppy was a real life force in our home, constantly looking for the next walk and enjoying each and every one to the max. When I found out that Poppy had an incurable illness I knew that our time with her was limited. On 20th September 2015, we had to make the most difficult decision to have her put to sleep, leaving a large void missing from our lives.

My other dog Boss the Bassett Hound and Poppy were best friends, although two totally different personalities. Boss is very sociable and loves meeting new animals of all types. His inquisitive nature and desire to cuddle up to just about anything, makes him the perfect playmate.

It was during Poppy's final months that I decided to set up Parks 'n' Barks. I want to offer a service to other pet owners, to have their dogs walked when they are unable to do so, to be able to go to work, take holidays or recuperate and rest, knowing all their pets are well cared for. I know only too well how pets prefer the company of humans rather than being alone. I also understand how stressful it can be trying to take a much needed break, but also ensuring your pet is well cared for in a loving, safe environment.

I have two teenage children, who are both animal lovers, one studying Animal Care at school and the other having completed a summer job at Port Lympne zoo. With Poppy's loss still in our hearts, they also have plenty of love to offer any pets we are lucky enough to be able to care for.

If you choose Parks 'n' Barks to care, walk or just spend time with your pets, I can assure you that they will be given the best care at all times. No corners will be cut, no walks cut short and your pets needs will be the main priority at all times.
